In this text I explore the development of painting to better understand what it can teach me about my own position as an artist. By examining how this medium has adapted and evolved within contemporary art practice, I seek to gain insight into the broader dynamics of art and my place within it. From this perspective, I analyze current developments and connect them to three central questions.

1. Expansion and Transformation of Painting – Investigating how painting has evolved conceptually and materially, moving beyond its traditional form.

2. Painting and Experience – Examining the viewer's subjective experience and the meaning-making process in painting.

3. Painting and Discourse – Exploring how painting is contextualized, debated, and interpreted within the art world.
