Sidewalk Souvenirs

For the outdoor exhibition VenloVerlicht I’ve made a large photograph with objects that were collected while walking through Venlo. The objects in the photograph are depicted on a 1:1 scale. The collection includes jewelry, keys, forks, keychains, toys, and countless unidentifiable pieces of plastic and metal. By placing these objects, both literally and figuratively, in a new light, I hope to reveal their beauty and to inspire wonder.

VenloVerlicht is an outdoor exhibition that will be on display from September 2024 until February 2025 in the city center of Venlo and the districts of Arcen and Steyl. On more than fifty lampposts, an illuminated screen is attached, featuring works created by various local artists.
